Made a winning point debut in the spring and looked above average for a 4-y-o filly as she followed up switched to a bumper at Fontwell last month. Clearly not 100% next time. Another to consider.

Verdict

CABARET QUEEN won between the flags last December and she beat some useful rivals on that occasion. The daughter of King's Theatre was slightly disappointing on her Rules debut in a bumper but this test should be much more to her liking. A market inspection is required for Ebonys Encore on her Rules debut, while Lucca Lady and Malindi Bay are others to consider.

Verdict

LUCCA LADY beat a promising newcomer in a bumper at Stratford earlier this month, form to view fairly positively, and she appeals as the type to take well to hurdling. Cabaret Queen could have a big say on hurdles debut for the Dan Skelton team, while Ebonys Encore is an interesting Rules newcomer, and strong market support would have to be taken seriously. Malindi Bay also deserves a mention.

Fairly useful form in bumpers but off for 13 months ahead of hurdles debut.

Verdict

Zen Master is the pick of those with hurdling experience following a third-placed finish at Southwell earlier in the month. That said, the preference is for NOT THAT FUISSE, who impressively won a Warwick bumper on his racecourse debut in April. Raised On Grazeon has not been seen in over a year but she was a talented performer in bumpers and could make the frame today if she retains all of her ability.

Verdict

NOT THAT FUISSE looked a good jumping prospect when forging clear to win his bumper at Warwick on debut in April and should prove hard to beat. Zen Master showed something to work on starting out for this yard at Southwell and can battle for a place with Bridey's Lettuce, who scored on the Flat last time.

Fair winner on the Flat and needs considering ahead of hurdles debut.

Verdict

Jonjo O'Neill unleashes JP McManus' 130,000 pound purchase DEMON D'AUNOU for his UK bow, and the french four-year-old looks full of potential with his Jackdaws castle handler scoring with a handful of his youngsters of late. Quest For Life has shaped nicely in bumpers and is a likeable recruit to hurdles, while Wotabreeze wasn't the worst performer on the Flat and is another to consider now switching discipline. Watch for any significant support for Royal Mandate who was a faller on his only other hurdles start and has since joined northern handler Rebecca Menzies.

Verdict

This lacks depth and the 3 to consider are DEMON D'AUNOU, Quest For Life and Wotabreeze. The first named is an expensive recruit from France and appeals as the most likely winner, especially if strong in the betting.

Maiden on the Flat and from 5 runs over hurdles. Needs to improve to open account in this sphere from current mark.

Verdict

SHRUBLAND was touched off by a neck over the extended 2m3f at Huntingdon last time out and wouldn't need to find much improvement to defy a 3lb rise. Bowie is only 2lb higher than when scoring over the extended 2m2f here in March and has strong place possibilities, while Gannicus has dropped to a workable mark and would be thereabouts if he can rediscover the form which saw him land a maiden hurdle at Fakenham in the summer.

Verdict

SHRUBLAND just failed to make it 3 from 3 for Dan Skelton at Huntingdon last time and can gain compensation having gone up just 3 lb. Bowie usually gives his running at this venue and is feared most ahead of Crookstown.

Fared better than of late when third of 9 in handicap hurdle at Hexham (20.1f) in September. Unseated first over fences latest but winless record stretching back to 2013 is off-putting.

Verdict

RED RISING made a winning start on his rules debut for Dan Skelton in a novice hurdle and he could potentially prove a well handicapped individual off a mark of 120. Blue Comet has improved on his last couple of starts at the track and should be competitive off an 8lb higher mark, while It's Your Move is one to watch making his handicap debut with progression to come.

Verdict

Maiden point winner RED RISING justified cramped odds and shaped like a thorough stayer to boot when scoring on his Rules/hurdling bow at Catterick in February. Now handicapping, he looks sure to do better and earns the vote. It's Your Move has shaped encouragingly in both his qualifying hurdle runs, and along with Blue Comet, heads the dangers.

Dual winning hurdler for Warren Greatrex but no better than fair form and likely up against it now chasing for new yard.

Verdict

Western Miller and Bordeaux Bill both have something to prove having fallen at Sedgefield on their latest starts but both have the capabilities to go close if producing a clear round. The latter had the stronger form over hurdles but would need to step up to beat CAPITAINE. A Grade 2 winner at Ascot over timber last season, he made a good start to his chasing career at Newton Abbot and will be well suited by returning to a right handed track.

Verdict

A good race but it's still hard to ignore the claims of CAPITAINE, who was a Grade 2 winner over hurdles last season and has the potential to prove at least as good over fences based on his debut win at Newton Abbot in May. Western Miller fell at Sedgefield last time but had looked good at Stratford prior to that and could be the one to give the selection most to do if his jumping holds up.

Verdict

READY TOKEN has been dropped 3lb for his last run at Doncaster back in December and Paul O'Brien's 5lb claim should help matters for a handler that goes well at this time of year. Sporting Boy has gone well the last twice and deserves to land one of these events soon, while August Cartmel scorer Shake It Up is entitled to be competitive despite going up in class. Former course winner Shady Glen is another name to note.

Verdict

SPORTING BOY won from this mark last year and has been thriving over hurdles recently, so he's expected to make a successful return to chasing up against several who have questions to answer. Ready Token is weighted to go close if back to form following a 9-month lay-off and Mister Don should be respected.
