Won twice over hurdles for Gordon Elliot last summer, but has ran poorly all 4 starts for new yard, including on the Flat last time. Just 1 lb above last winning mark now, though.

Verdict

FULL made the frame in a few starts over hurdles in his native France last year but he was a bit disappointing on his UK debut for David Pipe back in February. That said, it is far too soon to be writing him off and he has been switched to the in-form yard of Neil Mullholland. Shimba Hills put together back-to-back wins earlier in the season and he should be in the mix once again today, while Land League is surely better than what he showed at Uttoxeter last time.

Verdict

FULL made a disappointing start in Britain for David Pipe in February, but he looks fairly treated on his French form, so could be worth chancing starting out for a yard among the winners. Bad Boy du Pouldu is yet to fire for Gary Moore, but he's another who lurks on a good mark, and any market support would be interesting.

Dual winning hurdler at up to 3m and ran best race yet over fences when second at Huntingdon last month. Remains unexposed in this sphere and blinkers go on.

Verdict

SOUTHFIELD VIC got his act together over fences with two wins at Worcester earlier this season and he only found a useful rival too good at Exeter in November. The eight-year-old has plenty in hand according to official figures and it will be slightly disappointing if he does not add another victory to his record today. Weststreet and Bugsie Malone are rated the same but the latter's form does appear to be slightly stronger.

Verdict

Paul Nicholls can take this for the third time in 4 years with the returning SOUTHFIELD VIC, though neither of his rivals can be ruled out, Weststreet in particular likely capable of better over fences.

Looks limited on early evidence and hard to recommend now hurdling.

Verdict

PILANSBERG has not hit the heights over hurdles that his Flat form suggested he might but a close second in a handicap at Ascot last time out hints that he will be tough to beat today. Eaton Hill beat a useful sort at Wetherby in January but his last two starts have not been up to that level. Hab Sab has plenty to find to be successful today, unless the aforementioned pair come to grief.

Verdict

PILANSBERG has got back on track equipped with blinkers of late, producing just about his best effort when runner-up on handicap debut at Ascot 19 days ago. He gets the nod back in novice company. Eaton Hill comfortably rates the selection's chief threat.

Point/hurdles winner who made it third time lucky over fences at Uttoxeter (2½m) in January, but has been beaten a long way when placed on both starts since.

Verdict

A competitive heat despite the small field but the preference has to be for OPENING BATSMAN, who finally took advantage of a falling handicap mark when successful at Ludlow earlier in the month. A 6lb rise in the ratings does make life harder today but the veteran remains a long way below his peak rating of 148. Alcala did not have much to beat at Ludlow on Tuesday but it confirmed him to be in good form, although the quick turnaround would have to be a minor worry. Gowanauthat just edges out The Fresh Prince as the best of the rest.

Verdict

ALCALA was most impressive having his first chasing outing away from testing conditions at Ludlow 3 days ago and, with a similar round of jumping, he should be able to cater for another small field, with Opening Batsman likely to play second fiddle if in the same form as he was at Ludlow earlier in the month. Gowanauthat can be excused his latest run and should be back in form.

Backed and showed improved form when 3 lengths second on 21f Kempton handicap debut in a hood (retained) 17 days ago. Potential for better and the obvious threat to Tactical Manoeuvre.

Verdict

PLANTAGENET was heavily supported in the betting at Kempton earlier this month and he performed well, finishing second in what was by far a career best effort. Nick Schofield is a shrewd jockey booking by the Bradstocks and a mark of 79 is evidently there to be exploited. Tactical Manoeuvre looked suited by good ground last time out and could have more to come, while Petergate was in good form during the summer last season and needs a market check on his return to action.

Verdict

TACTICAL MANOEUVRE had a fair bit up his sleeve when scoring at Exeter last week and looks capable of defying a penalty. Plantagenet was an improved second on his handicap debut last time and looks the obvious main danger in a contest where the remainder have fitness/well-being to prove.

Successful twice at Plumpton last season but has offered little so far this term.

Verdict

LAKESHORE LADY has gone up 7lb for her recent easy course success but the seven-year-old has been revitalised by a visor in recent weeks and looked to win with a bit in hand last time out. She is tough to ignore in this current form under Tom Scudamore and could account for recent Plumpton scorer Lake Chapala, who makes just his second start for Chris Gordon and could keep improving. Veteran Mr Bachster looks best of the remainder.

Verdict

This looks between recent-winners LAKE CHAPALA and Lakeshore Lady. The former had plenty in hand when making a winning debut for Chris Gordon so he's the more likely to defy his penalty.

Verdict

White Valiant scored at big odds on debut at Huntingdon before finding Listed company too hot to handle in January, while Jersey Bean is bred to have a future having cost connections 44,000 euros at the sales. Wine Women An'song made a promising racecourse bow when second here in September, but CHARLIE PAPA LIMA should have improved plenty for his Rules debut in October and is expected to go well under the in-form Harry Bannister and his valuable 3lb claim.

Verdict

JERSEY BEAN hails from a family connections have enjoyed success with, including in bumpers, so a winning debut may well be on the cards. Of those with experience, Wine Women An'song and Charlie Papa Lima are more appealing than previous-winner White Valiant.
