Verdict

PADDOCKS LOUNGE has a decent record in sellers and can easily bounce back to his best now back in this company with Richard Johnson reunited in the saddle. The son of Oscar is top rated on official figures and holds Golan Dancer on their meeting at Leicester in early February despite that rival finishing ahead of him over fences at Lingfield earlier this month. Craiganee looks best of the remainder.

Verdict

TAURIAN made a winning start over hurdles in November, and although she's been below par all 3 starts since (last 2 on Flat), she is a major player back over hurdles at this level. Paddocks Lounge is feared most back under Richard Johnson, while Craiganee is another to consider.

Has made a sound start to life in handicaps and a good test over this trip will bring his stamina into play. One to consider.

Verdict

Kim Bailey's string continue in good heart and ALFIE'S CHOICE looks very interesting now making his handicap debut. This full-brother to The Storyteller has only raced over distances shorter than 2m4f so the step up in distance may bring out the improvement required to land the spoils. Pure Vision was a disappointing favourite last time at Wincanton but does come up against weaker opposition, while This Is It is another who merits respect stepping up to 3m for the first time under Rules.

Verdict

There's still an air of unfinished business around PURE VISION, and he is more than capable from this mark if brushing up his jumping. Alfie's Choice and Schnabel are a pair of likely improvers now handicapping up in trip.

Verdict

MAGICAL THOMAS ran a good race behind two nice Alan King novices at Wincanton last time out and he shaped there as if he would be of serious interest in handicaps. An opening mark of 104 looks reasonable and with the in-form Noel Fehily doing the steering, a bold showing is expected. Martabot has to give away weight and looked to be a tricky ride when a beaten favourite here a fortnight ago, while the consistent pair of Baccalaureate and Galactic Power should also go well.

Verdict

MAGICAL THOMAS ran his best race to date at Wincanton last month and looks the type to improve further now handicapping off a fair mark. He is preferred to last-time-out winner Galactic Power, though Martabot is also respected on just his fourth start for David Pipe.

Hurdles winner for Don Cantillon but long time since he has shown any worthwhile form.

Verdict

This race looks set to be a head-to-head battle between CLAN DES OBEAUX and Drumlee Sunset. The Paul Nicholls-trained five-year-old has 14lb in hand according to official figures and that is largely due to his Grade 2 win a couple of starts ago, as well as his close second to the subsequent RSA runner-up Whisper back in January. Drumlee Sunset chased home Aso in a handicap at Chepstow when last seen and that rival went on to finish third in the Ryanair Chase at Cheltenham last week. Oscars Way looks booked for third unless his rivals come to grief.

Verdict

This should be a simple task for CLAN DES OBEAUX provided he can put a lesser run at Sandown behind him, the form he'd shown previously over fences more than enough to cater for Drumlee Sunset, who is a promising sort in his own right.

Verdict

KAP JAZZ has taken a big step forward in his last couple of starts and another 6lb rise for his win at Ludlow earlier in the month is unlikely to stop him from completing a hat-trick. Tjongejonge would be a threat if the ground stays on the good side, as he is just 5lb above his last winning mark. Court By Surprise is dangerously well handicapped if he can discover his very best form.

Verdict

KAP JAZZ is likely to find life tougher from his revised mark but he has turned a corner over fences of late, and he gets the nod to complete the hat-trick. Bindon Mill, who is also going the right way, and Capard King are others to consider.

Verdict

BACCHANEL was given a forceful ride last time out and and got all of the Warwick field on the stretch apart from an impressive winner. He rallied well in the final stages, finishing well clear of the third, and now could be his time to strike back under Richard Johnson. Kapgarde King is a consistent type who should be up there once more, though a 7lb rise and an 85-day absence might be against him. Absolutely Bygones may prove best of the remainder.

Verdict

KNIGHT OFTHE REALM's jumping is obviously a concern but he's well treated if putting in a clear round so could be worth chancing. Bacchanel arguably should have won at Warwick last time and is the obvious threat, with Kapgarde King another to consider.
